Intellect versus emotions.

       
        Many people govern themselves more on intellect than on emotions, with this there are many negatives such as not being as sympathetic towards others. Emotions are what cause someone to be sympathetic, when one uses more of their intellect instead of emotions they do not think of others first. For example if someone went grocery shopping and saw a homeless person they would pass the homeless person because logically they need grocery more than they want to give them money. This would be the opposite if they governed themselves on emotions instead.
        Another negative is that people make decisions faster without thinking it through. Without emotional decisions they would not think events over because to them their logic makes the most sense which does not need examined. With their logic they always find themselves thinking they are right no matter what. When they find their logic right they make their decisions faster than if they took the time to analyze if it is right for everyone involved. With this important decisions are made without a moderate amount of thought.
        One positive is that people do not let feelings get the best of them. When they make the decision they do not have feelings of guilt getting in the way. For example if someone makes a decision to end a program that helps people, if they do not let feelings interfere they can make the decision faster. Also they can make more rational decisions based on facts than on what they feel for someone.

Love

    Every person is in need of companionship and/or love for survival. One main reason is that with out love or companionship a person may become depressed or suicidal. Companionship makes them feel wanted and not alone in this world. It also lets them talk about their problems and not hold them in. 
   Another reason companionship and/or love is needed is that with out it their would not be reproduction. With out reproduction our species would die off. Also it brings people together to raise a child and make them their own. With reproduction a child is made which makes the parents feel love for their child. Also it brings a positive outlook.

     Without companionship and/or love people would be secluded and alone. When this happens their would be no communication. Without communication people would not be able to express themselves to where they felt happy. If people are secluded they would not have happiness because happiness comes in the form of friendship and love.

Rejection

When people or animals get rejected there are many feelings that come along with it. This video shows how one will feel left out and ignored. Sometimes when people get rejected they get hurt physically. Also rejection can lead to depression and bad thoughts. People need to be more considerate of others feelings before they react. Rejection can lead to social issues to where they will not want to be around others. Rejection is different for every person because people tolerate different amounts of pain.

Personal Responsibility

    Personal Responsibility to me is your actions are your responsibility even if it involves other people. You and only you are responsible for what you achieved and have done. Personal Responsibility is very important to get you through life, you can not blame others for your mistakes, you have to take responsibility.
   When you should take responsibility could be confusing, what if it was not your fault, you did not mean to, etc. You should take responsibility when someone expects you to do the right thing, if they left something in your hands and you let someone else use it. Also you are always accountable for every action you make, like if you hit some one you should take responsibility and own up to it. Every time you are left in charge, you should take responsibility for events that happen.
    For example, if you let someone borrow a book that was not yours, and they ruined it you have to take responsibility for it. Even though you are not the one who ruined it, you borrowed it from someone else so therefore they are holding you accountable for the book. The person who ruined it should also take responsibility for their actions and do the right thing and pay for a new one. So both people should take responsibility but for two different reasons.
   

exploration and discovery

  Some ways in which people throughout the ages have explored the unknown is through cancer research, and exploration for new land. Many people did not know much about cancer and some scientists decided that they wanted to find a cure. With all the experimenting they came across that radiation could help cancer. Exploration for new land  was  difficult for many people because they did not know what they could encounter. 
   Scientist devoted themselves to this to help saves many lives and prolong life. They new devoting themselves would be worth the time and effort. Land explorers devoted their time to this to help their country gain territory. They felt the need to honor their country.
     Many people had to sacrifice their lives to find  items that helps cure cancer. Explorers also sacrificed their lives to find land. They also had to sacrifice time with their family and loved ones. Scientists had to sacrificed embryos, that could have turned out to be amazing people, just to find cures. This was all worth it to them because they felt honored in the end.
